Bob Jacksha
Chief Investment Officer
Bob Jacksha has been the chief investment officer for the New Mexico Educational Retirement Board (ERB) since 2007. In this role, he supervises an investment team of 14 individuals who are responsible for the management of ERB’s $13 billion investment portfolio. Prior to this role, he served as deputy state investment officer with the New Mexico State Investment Council and has had various positions in the investment field with other organizations over the past 35 years. Bob holds both the CFA and CAIA charters, an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul MN, and a B.S. degree from Bemidji State University.

Joel Wittenberg

Joel Wittenberg is the vice president and chief investment officer at W.K. Kellogg Foundation. He has served the organization since 2009. Previously, he was the vice president-treasurer at Kellogg Company from 2000-2009, as well as vice president and treasurer of Armstrong World Industries and manager treasury at Dow Chemical. Wittenberg holds a B.S. from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Johara Farhadieh serves as the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at the Illinois State Board of Investment (“ISBI”), managing an $18.1 billion dollar defined benefit fund and a $4.2 billion dollar deferred compensation plan. In this position, Mrs. Farhadieh is responsible for investment management, operations and execution of ISBI’s investment policies as well as assisting the Board of Trustees in the strategic direction of ISBI. Mrs. Farhadieh also leads the continued effort of promoting diversity and inclusion within ISBI and the financial industry. Recently, Mrs. Farhadieh was named in Crain’s Chicago Business 2018, 40 Under 40 list.

Marcus Frampton

Marcus Frampton, CFA, CAIA, FRM serves as the Chief Investment Officer of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation (APFC), the $65 billion sovereign wealth fund for the State of Alaska. Marcus manages a team of twenty investment professionals at the APFC and is responsible for leading all investment decisions related to the APFC’s investment portfolio within the guidelines established by APFC’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Frampton holds a BA from UCLA and previously worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, a private equity executive at PCG Capital, and an operating executive at LPL Financial.

Sam Gallo is the chief investment officer at the University System of Maryland Foundation, where he is responsible for the investment of over $1.6 billion in endowment and operating fund assets for the benefit of 22 higher education institutions. His prior experience includes leadership roles with financial service provider PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), investment consulting firm Ennis Knupp & Associates, and as a senior portfolio manager/trader at a Goldenberg, Hehmeyer, & Company. Gallo holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and two B.S. degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Illinois.
